NotesSource: Halifax Weekly Courier 24 October 1914. Mons Patton arrived in Brighouse on 21 October 1914 in a party of 18 comprised of 3 men, 10 women, 3 girls and 2 babies. He was a city councillor in Brussels and acted as civic guard in Bruges up to it being abandoned. They were all taken to Longroyde House, Brighouse.
