NotesFather De Havre was staying with the Reverend Father Joseph Drossens, another Belgian priest already living / assigned to Preston before the war (Fr. Drossens appears in the 1911 Census of England). Fr. Drossens was the Chaplain of St. Thomas's Home (Tulketh Hall) and a member of the Brothers of Charity, founded in 1807 by Peter Joseph Triest in Ghent, Belgium. The building was purchased in 1898 as a "home for working boys", but by 1901 had been converted to St Thomas's Home: Industrial School for Roman Catholic Boys. The building was demolished in 1960.
