NotesThe family did not return to Belgium after the war but moved to St Clears, where Charles worked at the Milk Factory. They had six more children born in Carmarthenshire with their son, Egwad, born within weeks of them arriving in Llanegwad. Their first house here was paid for by Mrs Bath, Allt-y-Ferin, Pont ar Gothi, the widow of a wealthy Swansea industrialist.
